YM Synth 520 is a free software synthesizer created by GMG, designed to bring Atari-inspired sounds into a modern music production environment. Its retro sound palette is complemented by additional features including a sub-oscillator, filter and chorus, providing tools for shaping and enriching its tones.

Distributed in VST2 (32-bit and 64-bit), VST3 and Audio Units (AU) formats, with a Linux version also available, YM Synth 520 can be used in compatible DAWs and trackers that support instrument plug-ins. It provides the sounds, while the host application handles note sequencing and song arrangement.
